The Test of Academic Proficiency (TAP)
TAP - Test Of Academic Proficiency (Formerly known as the basic skills test)

Candidate Guidelines for the TAP and the Test Attempt Limit Policy

Candidates may register for one subtest or all four subtests in a single testing session. You cannot register for two or three subtests in a single session. Each attempt, even for a single subtest, counts as one attempt toward the test limit of five attempts.
The best strategy to maximize your five attempts is to always select all four subtests together when you register, unless you have only one more subtest to pass. This will allow you to take all four, or any combination of two or three, subtests in one session and be charged only one attempt toward the five-attempt limit. Under this scenario, if you have already passed one or two subtests you can skip over those subtests at the test session and focus on the subtests you have yet to pass. There is no penalty for omitting a subtest.
You cannot register for two or three subtests at the same time for a single session. If you register for one subtest and subsequently register for a second subtest, whether or not you are able to schedule them on the same day, you will still be charged two attempts toward the test attempt limit of five.
Note that if you previously passed a Basic Skills subtest it will count toward passing the TAP. For example, if you passed the Basic Skills Mathematics subtest, you will not need to take the TAP Mathematics subtest. Your passing score on the Basic Skills subtest will be automatically applied toward your TAP passing status.
